Jeffrey Wayne Cavin's Obituary
Jeff was born June 30, 1975, in Nacogdoches, Texas. He passed away September 30, 2014, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
Jeff was a graduate of Longview High School and the University of North Texas. He was working in retail sales management in Denton, Texas. His passion was World War II history especially aviation history.
His friends state that Jeff’s biggest quality was his compassion and ability to listen.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Barbara Cavin, of Longview and Tina Rushing, his father, Bruce Cavin, of Ft. Worth and wife Norma Bartholomew, his uncle, Mickey Lewis and cousins Joey and Catherine Lewis and Henry Lewis, his grandmother, Lucille Cavin, and uncles Dave and Bob Cavin.
He is missed by countless friends who loved him very much including Mike, Carrie, Brett, Phillip, Misty, Dave, Lori, Carl and many others whose life he touched.
We express a special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Baylor Heart Transplant Team and ICU 2 and 3Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Baylor Healthcare Foundation or the charity of choice.
Memorial services will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. His remains will be placed in the columbarium of Trinity Episcopal Church.
