Jeffery Kincy's Obituary
Jeffery “Jeff” Kincy was born November 8, 1961, in Marshall, Texas. He went to be with his heavenly Father on October 10, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 12, 6-8pm and Rader Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 13 at 2 pm at Spring Hill First Baptist Church on Gilmer Road.
Jeff was a true athlete. He enjoyed playing baseball from an early age under the guidance of his father and the support of his mother and sister, and continued that devotion into college. He then chose coaching and teaching as his lifetime profession. Jeff was blessed to repeat the father son connection and thoroughly enjoyed coaching his son Colton during his tenure at Spring Hill High School.
Jeff was a man of strong moral character who never compromised his integrity, regardless of the situation. Even when faced with less than desirable circumstances he chose to make the best of the situation. This deep rooted principle was apparent while mentoring the young men and women he coached and taught at Longview, Pittsburg and Spring Hill High Schools during his twenty-four years of service.
Jeff was his happiest when spending time with his family – whether traveling, attending sporting events or just watching TV with Charlotte and Colton. However, he did truly love the adrenaline rush and freedom felt after a long run! Jeff felt so proud to attend the graduation of his son Colton from OU in 2016.
Jeff had successfully beaten brain cancer twenty-eight years ago-only to be faced with a terminal diagnosis within the past three months. He courageously battled this disease every step of the way. His pup, Bevo never left his side.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte, son Colton, and parents, Carroll and Jeannette Kincy, all of Longview; sister, Kathy Cowart and Husband Raymond of Carthage; mother-in-law Elaine Bacon, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Shannon and Don Brown; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Cynthia Bacon. Nieces, Allyson Bacon Townsend (Collin), Carly Brown, Holly Cowart; Nephews, Jacob Bacon (Miranda and daughter Presley); Collin Brown, Christopher Cowart, Shelby Cowart and Cayman Cowart.
Jeff is etched in our heart and memories forever. We are heartbroken and will miss him greatly.
