Arrangements are with Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Jeff was born May 27, 1966 in Natchez, MS to Glenn and Peggy Nevill, but lived his life in Carthage and Longview, Texas. He left this world June 10, 2016 after a brief fight with cancer. He fought hard, but was prepared to meet his Heavenly Father and his beloved grandmother in Heaven.
Left behind for a while are his wife, Melissa Nevill; children, Jeremie, Emily, and Austin Nevill; children by marriage, Abigail, Jasmine, and Dylan; grandaughter, Hannah Cunneen; parents, Glenn and Peggy Nevill; brother, Greg Nevill, and his wife, Kristy, and their son, Lane; as well as lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His great love in life was Nascar. He had been an avid collector for many years and loved talking about Nascar.
Jeff was the kindest, sweetest man. His parents were so proud to call him Son. Jeff wasn’t a rich man, but he was so generous. If he called you friend you were the lucky one. He is gone but he will never be forgotten. Fly high with the angels, Jeff. We love you.
Jeff graduated from Carthage High School in 1985. His first business was a bicycle repair shop. Jeff was passionate about the things he loved. He worked with his parents for many years, and was a hard worker never giving up until the job was done. He loved his little brother and was forever watching over him. Jeff was a loyal friend and a caring person, never holding a grudge. He was a fierce protector of his children and devoted his life to them. There was never a doubt of how much he loved them. Jeff was a man of integrity. He never ran from anything. If he needed to talk to someone, he did it face to face. Jeff was saved as a young boy but recommitted his life to God before he became ill. Jeff was bigger than life and was so funny. He loved to laugh.
