Jeanette Smith, 87, of Longview, was born on November 15, 1937, in Dallas, Texas and passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Jeanette lived a life full of love, service, and adventure.
Jeanette was married to the love of her life, Bill Smith, for 52 wonderful years until his passing. Together, they made Longview their home in 1976, where they raised their family and built a life rooted in community and faith.
Jeanette dedicated 21 years of service as a beloved bus driver for Pine Tree ISD, where she was known for her warm smile and caring heart. Her love for nature and learning was evident in everything she did.
A devoted member of her church, Jeanette, spent many years volunteering alongside her church family, always ready to lend a helping hand and share her generous spirit.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith.
