Jeanette Messenger's Obituary
Memorial services for Jeanette, 82, of Longview will be held at Holy Trinity Community Church at 3800 Judson Road at 11:00 on September 15, 2012 with Reverend Beau Sullivan officiating. A private burial service will be held at a later date. Jeanette passed from this world to a Heavenly Place of Eternal Peace on Monday, September 10, 2012 in Longview.
Jeanette was born to Clarence W. and Kathryn Louise Culver Brees, now deceased, in Akron, Ohio on May 10, 1930. She leaves her loving husband of 61 years, Edward Messenger of Longview; son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Cindy Messenger of Hershey, PA; three daughters and sons-in-law Deborah and Randell Wiggins of Kingwood, TX, Rebecca and Sam Spurlock of Olney, TX, Kathleen and Ron Hogue of Sulphur Springs, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She graduated with honors from Miami University of Ohio. She was an active church member and Captain William Young Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. She had volunteered at the Longview Public Library, Good Shepherd Hospital, and Meals on Wheels. Also, with husband Edward, enjoyed working with family genealogy, traveling overseas and touring with early horseless carriage antique cars. Her outgoing personality and smile instantly attracted many lifelong friends. She will be greatly missed.
Donations may be made to American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
