It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanette May Hoffman, a cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and respected nurse. Jeanette peacefully departed this world on September 7, 2023, in Longview, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and compassion.
Born on September 26, 1934, in the vibrant city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Jeanette was the cherished daughter of Paul Bordlemay and Evelyn Emswinger Bordlemay. From a young age, she embraced life's challenges with steadfast determination and a warm spirit, capturing the hearts of all who crossed her path. After graduating from William Penn High School in Harrisburg, Jeanette continued to bring joy and happiness to those around her throughout her life.
Jeanette's unwavering commitment to the healthcare industry led her to pursue a career as a nurse, graduating in 1978. Her compassionate nature and unwavering dedication to her profession allowed her to touch countless lives during her tenure at Magnolia Nursing Home in Jefferson, Texas. Her patients found solace in her gentle presence and found comfort in her kind, healing hands. Jeanette's legacy endures through the lives she touched and the spirits she uplifted in times of darkness.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Jeanette found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in spending quality time with her family. Together, they shared countless laughter-filled moments and created memories that will forever be etched in the tapestry of their lives.
Jeanette is survived by her children, sons; Eugene Schubauer and wife Patricia of Harrisburg, PA, Dean Hoffman of Longview, TX, and daughter Brenda Bruner and husband Bill of Longview, TX. Also left to cherish her precious memory are grandchildren, Jason Bruner and wife Courtnee, Brittney Lane and husband Logan, and great grandchildren, Grayson Bruner, Adeline Bruner and Madisyn Lane. She is preceded in death by her parents and six brothers.
In commemoration of Jeanette's extraordinary life, loved ones and friends are invited to gather for a Graveside Service at the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel. The service will take place on September 14, 2023, at 10:00 am.
