Services for Jean Wood, 70, of Longview, will be September 5, 2007 at 10:00a.m. at Rader Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin Sumrall officiating. The family will receive friends September 4, 2007, from 5-7p.m., at the funeral home.
Jean Wood went to the Lord Sunday, September, 2, 2007, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 6, 1937, in McAllen, TX. Jean will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest. She was a real people person who never meet a stranger and adored children. She was also a member of the Rebekkahs.
She is preceded in death by son Bruce Wisdom, and her parents, Lloyd and Lucille Rigney. She is survived by children Janine Silva, Keith Werner, and Gary Werner. Siblings Tom Rigney, Rosela Wince, Jackie Kaufman, Lloyd Rigney Jr., Denise Irving, Helen Hughes, John Rigney, James Rigney, and Patty Velez. Also left to cherish her memory her niece and nephew, Suzanne and Aaron Scott, and numerous other niece, nephew, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Jean?s extended family included the Scott?s and special friends Elizabeth Rio?s family.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Elhawagi, Dr. Scott, HeartsWay Hospice, and the staff of Good Shepherd Hospital.
