Jean Patrick Wells' Obituary
Jean P. Wells, 81, of Longview, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, died Tuesday March 20, at the Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview following an extended illness.
She was born February 2, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dr. Glenn B. and Ruth R. Patrick.
She is survived by her husband, Loren D. Wells whom she married on November 23, 1946 in Elkhart, Indiana.
She is also survived by her three children, Patricia Price and her husband, John of Herndon, Virginia, David Wells and his wife, Sharron of Iron Mountain, Michigan and Nancy Fore and her husband, Gregg of Middlebury, Indiana and one foster daughter Sharon Angel and her husband, Jerry of Elkhart, Indiana. She is additionally survived by her younger sister, Jane Martin of Elkhart, as well as seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Peterson.
Mrs. Wells attended Elkhart High School and graduated from St. Mary?s in South Bend, Indiana. She attended Indiana University.
She was employed by Whitehall Laboratories, Drakes Department Store and Old Orchard Golf Course until retirement. While living in Elkhart she was a member of the First Congregational Church UCC and in Texas she was a member of the Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview. She enjoyed reading, golf, playing bridge and cooking.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, March 23, 2007 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM. Services will follow in Elkhart, Indiana at 10 AM Wednesday, March 27, 2007 in the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
