I am so saddened to learn about the passing of Jean. My teaching career at PTISD is filled with happy memories of working with her. She always exhibited a positive, supportive attitude regarding her co-workers and students and met each challenge with the ability to turn it into a true, authentic learning experience. Jean was devoted to Dick and treasured the happy days with every member of her sweet family. May God grant comfort and peace to each one of you.

Mrs. Baker was my favorite teacher. I can still remember sitting in her class and being totally interested in everything she said! She was an exceptional teacher and very kind, also. I am praying for comfort for her family.

Simply a great teacher because she was a great lady. One of my all time favorite teachers from my years at PTHS. I learned a lot in her class. We lost a great one in Mrs Baker. Very sorry for Dennis and all the Baker family. Y'all will be in my prayers.
Mrs. Baker was one of my favorite and best teachers! I remember that she valued each person's opinion while having great discussions about the Iran Hostage crisis and the presidential primaries in 1980. I'm not surprised to learn that she was an exceptional and involved grandmother.
Jean was the lead social studies teacher when I went to work at PTHS in 1990, and she was a patient, wise, knowledgeable, supportive, mentor who helped this first-year teacher survive. She was the steady, calm voice of reason who often helped me put things into proper perspective.
I have many happy memories of our time together in “Media C.”

So sorry we did not know in time to make Jean‘s visitation and funeral. We love all of her family all of the kids grew up with our kids and they were such good friends. We went to church with them. Will never forget Jean and Dick they were very special to us we spent lotta time with them over the years. Regret we have not been with them the last few years. Mrs. Baker was one of my ALL TIME favorite teachers. She made a difference in my life as a rowdy student, by making me follow the rules. I respected her, and her ability to discipline, along with her great sense of humor. My condolences to all the Bakers.
Jean was a remarkable person and an outstanding teacher. She was so special in every way. We are so very sorry to learn of her passing. Knowing Jean just made one’s life fuller.
