Jean Bailey Cromer
Funeral services for Jean Cromer, 82, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM, Monday March 9, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Reverend James Cantey officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Mrs. Cromer went to be with her Lord on March 5, 2009 in Longview.
Mrs. Cromer was born November 1, 1926 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. She grew up in Eagletown, OK, and moved to Hallsville, TX; in 1957. She made numerous friends while working at Stemco Industries, Hallsville ISD and the Longview Public Library. She loved reading and taking care of her family. She enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels with her husband J.L. Jean was a wonderful mother and wife. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Longview.
Mrs. Cromer was preceded in death by her parents Amos Kerlin and Elsie Kerlin Ellis, her step-father Homer Ellis; her husband W. L. "Buck" Bailey; son Michael Bailey; daughter Karen Bailey Fromme; great-grandson, Joe Paul Jones; sisters, Norma Hadley, Lola Brown, brother, Vernard Kerlin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, J. L. Cromer of Longview, daughters, Pam Bailey and husband Tim of Hallsville, Debra Bailey Jones and husband Don of Foreman, Ark., and Tammy L. Bailey of Longview, daughter-in-law, Shannon Bailey of Mesquite, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday March 8, 2009 from 2-4pm
