Jaylee Rayne Garner's Obituary
Jaylee Rayne Garner was born March 13, 2006, in Kilgore, Texas. 13 was her favorite number, Friday the 13th her favorite day. Jaylee came into the world face up, ready to see what she was facing. Jaylee didn't develop typically and was always quirky leading to a diagnosis of Autism at 13 months. Though socially awkward and behind, she was mentally far beyond her years. She graduated home school December 2021 at 15 and had just completed her freshman year at Kilgore College. Jaylee had a deep love for God and read scriptures and devotions daily. She also loved random trivia and was always bringing up random facts. Jaylee loved reptiles, horror movies, drawing, baking, cooking, and crafting. She didn't show affection well, but if she stayed in the room with you, or better yet, talked to you, she liked you. When she was in public school, several teachers made a lasting impact on her including Mrs. Pahlman, Mrs Williams, and Mrs. Curbo. Jaylee even named her most recent bearded dragon Curbo.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted mom Shannon Davis and stepdad Kevin of Henderson. Grandparents, Cynthia and George Stanley of Overton and Christine Davis of Lufkin. Great grandmother, Barbara Summerlin of Durant, OK. Brothers, Delsin (Lindsey) Davis and Camden (Daphney) Davis. Sisters, Rylie (James) Phillips and Addy Garner. Stepsisters, Kathryn (Nick) Hairston, Caroline (Cason) Shipp, and Natalie (Tristen) Davis. Nieces and nephews, Paxton, Lincoln, and Bodie Phillips, Paisley, Tytan, Harper, and unborn baby Davis. Westin and Benjamin Davis. Beckem, Sawyer, and Rowen Hairston. As well as Josie and Jasiah. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jaylee was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Davis and great grandparents, Travis and Lois Quinn.
There are not enough pages in the world or time in our lifetime to speak of Jaylee and how special she was. 17 years was not nearly enough, and she will be sorely missed and forever loved.
A memorial service for Jaylee will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 10 o'clock in the morning in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
