Jay Dee Dillon's Obituary
Jay D. Dillon was born on Sept 15th, 1922, and, began his eternal life on April 4th, 2017. He was a loving and compassionate man, as well as, a loyal husband to his wife, Alicia, who proceeded him in death only 2 months ago. Jay D. remained by his wife’s side until the end and he has now rejoined her in Heaven. Jay D. was a strong family man and, is survived by his children Gilbert Hernandez Jr. and wife Rita, John Hernandez and wife Lillian, Sylvia Miller, and Cynthia Warren and husband Kenneth, Harry Cantrell and his wife Karen as well as lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born and raised in Sherman, TX, Jay D. was a Sergeant in the United States Army, member of the 112th Calvary and a WWII veteran. He received an honorable discharge in 1945. He had a very accomplished career starting off as a draftsman of Lebus Manufacturing Co. of Longview and later serving as President.
Jay D. loved playing golf, ballroom dancing and music. He was a man of integrity and high moral character. He was always there for his family and will be missed dearly.
Funeral Service for Jay D. will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday at Rader Funeral Home.
