Jason Mitchell Gladden's Obituary
Jason “Jake” Mitchell Gladden, 54, passed away on March 5, 2023, after spending his final days listening to the ocean at his home in Yucatán, Mexico.
Jake was born on February 21, 1969 to Jimmy and Glenda Gladden in Longview, Texas. After Jake graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1987, he went on to have a successful career as an entrepreneur in the hydraulic hose field.
Jake was a hardworking man and dedicated father to his daughter, Jaci. Jaci was the light of his life. Jake enjoyed spending time with friends and family at the lake, animals, and the ocean. The beach held a special place in his heart, and he was blessed to be able to spend his final years listening to the waves.
Jake is survived by his daughter, Jaci Gladden; father, Jimmy Gladden; sister Gayla (Bryan) Herberger; brother Greg Gladden; nieces Abbie (Bryce) Agnes and Aly (Chris) Chadwick; uncles Kenneth Gladden and Charles (Jackie) Gladden.
Jake is preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Gladden; grandparents Glenn Mitchell, Josephine Mitchell, Pauline Mitchell, Pearl Gladden, and Ralph Gladden; aunts Sue Hinson and Mary Alice Gladden; and uncle Robert Hinson.
Family and friends are welcome to honor his life on Friday, April 14 in the mausoleum chapel at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 3:00 with a service immediately following at 4:00.
