Janie holds such a special place in our heart! My parents became close friends with Janie and James during their later years. Janie’s steadfast love for Jesus and others permeated all she encountered. Janie loved my family as though they were her own. We talked frequently about life and the love she had for her family - her granddaughter Paige was the apple of her eye. She was so proud of what she’d become. Caryn and Joel she loved so much and often shared the work they both did to support her even with life’s challenges. I just have to say …. Janie kept it real. That’s something I always adored about her. After my parents went to be with the lord, something pulled me back to Longview November 2022. I wanted to visit Janie. I loved visiting with her as it brought fond memories of my own parents and the happy times they all spent together. During that visit a door opened for my daughter Avery to meet (unbeknownst to her) her future husband. Janie and I spent countless hours on the phone talking about Matthew and Avery and the blossoming love they shared. Fast forward, our last conversation was right after she went on hospice and she was still wanting to know all the little details of the upcoming wedding. We still talked over an hour that evening even when it was so difficult for her. Janie had a love of people and more than anything else Jesus! My family is beyond grateful to have been blessed by this amazing lady. Her faith was relentless and steadfast! Thank you Janie for your friendship and love! We know you are singing with the angels pain free as James welcomed you alongside him.
