What a wonderful neighbor (of 25 years?) Mrs. Janice was!
Your dad passed within days of my mother in 2001, so we grieved together.
I enjoyed hearing your Mom's stories of growing up. When her little dog, Mary, died... she gave me the doggie shampoo and treats. Months later, when my Tavish slipped past me into her house, your Mom admitted that she had purchased new treats just for him and kept them in her foyer!
She often included my grandchildren on her birthdays lists, and asked after each person in my family through the years. She had an amazing memory! What I most want to tell you is that she often told me how much she appreciated each of you. I suspect she did not tell you as openly, but I feel honored she trusted me. My mother was raised in the same part of the country during the same era. I was able to understand Mom better after my conversations with yours. My condolences to each of you. I have watched you all rotating Night Watch as she got weaker these last months. Bless you. I'm so glad your Mom is no longer in pain.
Rest in Peace, Mrs. Janice.
P.S. Thank you for forgiving Logan when he "took out" your solar lights with his new bike.
