Janice "Jan" Mary Smith Romenesko's Obituary
With great sadness for our loss but abundant joy for her new life with our Lord and Savior, we said good bye to our beloved mother Janice (Jan) Mary Smith Romenesko, 78, of Longview Texas on November 4th. We are celebrating her life with a visitation and memorial service on Nov 14th at First United Methodist Church, with Visitation starting at 12:00 pm and a Memorial Service at 1:30 pm.
Jan was born to Louis A. and Antoinette Mary Smith on July 18, 1937 in De Pere Wisconsin. She married the love of her life William (Bill) Melvin Romenesko on July 21, 1956. Jan was a mother to eight children, grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her children remember her strong and constant faith, loving heart and unwavering devotion to God and her family. Jan worked for more than 20 years as a retail consultant at Dillards and was known and loved by many customers and colleagues.
She is preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Melvin Romenesko and her granddaughter Danielle Crump. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Janet Charles, Carol Bain, Florence Glodoski, John Smith, Fabian Smith; daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia Ann married to Charles Gass, Sandra Lynn and John Jacobs, Victoria Lee and Jeff Ward, Pamela Jean and James Crump, Wendy Sue Savage, Michelle Mary and Mark Crum; sons and daughter-in-law William (Bill) and wife Donna Romenesko, Chris Romenesko; grandchildren Jessica Gass, John and wife Jennifer Jacobs, Stephanie and husband Bradford Taylor, Jennifer and husband John Paul Salazar, Nick and wife Shalane Ward, Brett Crump, Amy and husband Bobbie Dohr, Amanda Romenesko, Stephanie Mitchell, Brittanie Lane, Noah Savage, Alex Savage, Jordan Crum, Jenna Crum, Joshua Crum, Samantha Crum; great grandchildren Taylor Grace Jacobs, John Carter Jacobs, Andrew Scott Taylor, Tripp Davis Taylor, Charlie Knox Taylor, Luke Salazar, Jack Salazar, Cayden Ward, Rylan Ward, Jace Ward, Brooklyn Crump, Payton Mitchell.
