Janet Porter nee McDowall Veralli's Obituary
Janette Porter nee McDowall Veralli, 1931-2025 was born in Paisley, Scotland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean & Archibald McDowall, her husband, Maurice and her sister, Anna McMullan. She is survived by her four sons, Bruce (Annette), Glenn (Karen), Robert (Chris Levitsky), and David Veralli, grandchildren Anna (Chris) Williams, Sarah (Donnie) Quick, and Taylor, Gillian and John Veralli and great-grandchildren, Norah & Hannah Quick and Adalee Williams and various nieces and nephews. She immigrated to the U.S. following WWII and lived in New York City where she met her husband Maurice Veralli. They moved to Bergenfield, NJ to start their family. Janette was active in her local church and sang in the choir. She was active with the Daughters of Scotia Society and enjoyed lunches with the "British ladies". She moved to Longview in 1988 to be closer to her grandchildren. Janette & Moe enjoyed traveling, visiting family & friends in Florida & New Jersey annually for many years. They also enjoyed hosting family & friends over the years. Janette was an avid animal lover and routinely donated to animal charities. She will be greatly missed by her family.
