Janet Orms' Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of beloved wife, cherished mother, and adored grandmother, Janet Orms. She was born on December 10, 1939, in Greggton, Texas, and sadly passed away at her home in White Oak, Texas, on the morning of September 16, 2025. No words can express how deeply she will be missed by the many who loved her.
Janet was a devoted follower of Christ, giving her life to our Savior at the age of nine. She later met the love of her earthly life, Lewis Orms, at a root beer stand, and they married in 1958. Lewis and Janet recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. Two of her greatest joys in life were being a mother to Janna and a grandmother to Kelsi.
Janet was classy, creative, and courageous. She had a gift for china painting and spent decades creating beautiful pieces and traveling to teach others. In her later years, Janet looked forward to her weekly card games with her special group of friends and cherished the quality time she spent with Janna and Kelsi, both of whom were the light of her life. Though life was not always easy in recent years, Janet always portrayed unshakable strength and resilience, without surrendering her sense of humor and spunk.
Her family loves her so very much and will miss her terribly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verna and Jack Wall. She leaves behind her loving husband, Lewis; her daughter, Janna; and her granddaughter, Kelsi. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jackie and Lavois Orms, Tommy and Rhonda Orms, and Tootsie Watson, as well as many nieces and nephews, including special nephew Tyler Orms.
