Janet Elaine Day's Obituary
Services for Janet Stewart Day will be held at the Longview Church of Christ at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Center, Texas. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Mrs. Day was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 21, 1933 to Harry and Irma Schaumloeffel Stewart. She was a member of Longview Church of Christ and was a homemaker and volunteer. She married Jimmy Glenn Day on April 12, 1953. Jimmy passed away in 2009. The family would like to thank Texas Home Health Hospice and Whispering Pines Lodge for the care they gave Mrs. Day.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Glenn Wilson and Lynan Day, Gary Alan Day, Bryan James and Debbie Day, Robert Michael and Laurie Day; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Mary Lou Stewart; sisters Rita Pickett and Doris Brown; grandchildren Garrett Day and wife Rachel, Benjamin Day, Griffin Day, Jennifer Day, Hunter Day, Tyler Day, Payton Day and Jacob Mobbs; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
