Janelle Washburn's Obituary
A Memorial Service for Janelle Harvey Washburn was held Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the Crims Chapel First Baptist Church with the Reverend Bobby Earle Moore.
Janelle was born on August 5, 1939 in the Murvaul Community to Maybelle and O.C. Harvey.  She was loved by her family and many friends across the country. She was outgoing, a shrewd businesswoman, and an excellent mother and grandmother.  She went out of her way to speak with everyone and help whoever she could.  She traveled extensively across the United States and Canada with her husband, Wayne, who preceded her in death.  She continued to travel after his passing and lived periodically in Virginia, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Georgia, South Carolina, and Missouri.
Left to mourn her loss are her children, Amanda Washburn, Mark Washburn, and Sheri Makayan; her grandchildren, Matthew Washburn and Caitlin Makayan; and her great granddaughter, Faukes-Brinley Makayan.  She is also survived by her sister LaVerle Ellis and her husband Floyd Ellis; her sister-in-law Jane Harvey as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Washburn; her parents, and her brother Bardell Harvey.
