Jane "Janie" C. Massey's Obituary
Jane C. “Janie” Massey passed peacefully to her eternal home on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. After a courageous battle with cancer, she is finally free. She was 76 years of age.
Born September 27, 1948, to Elbert and Helen Crowson, Janie grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She married the love of her life, Norris Wayne Massey, on April 19, 1986, and together they made their home in Longview. Janie worked at Satterwhite Log Homes for 32 years, serving as an office manager and developing friendships that remained a source of joy to her over the years. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors and will be remembered by them for her generosity, kindness, and genuine concern for others.
Janie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bert and Helen Crowson, husband, Norris Massey, and her brother-in-law, Glenn Billington. She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Gayle and Jim Randall; stepsons Kevin and Nathan Massey; grandsons Mitch Randall (Abby), and Jason Randall (Megan); great-grandson Jackson; sister, Harriet Billington; niece and nephew, Jeannie (Jerry) and Jimmy; and her beloved dog, Chica.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, with a celebration of life service beginning at 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
