Jane attended Longview schools and graduated from The Hockaday School of Dallas. She was an art major at Southern Methodist University where she pledged Pi Beta Phi sorority. She studied art much of her early adult life on both the East and West coasts, and for many years, Jane was a member of the Junior League of Longview and the Green Thumb Garden Club. Jane was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview.
For over twenty years, Jane and her husband, Lou Galosy, owned and operated “Galosy’s”, a women’s apparel and specialty store located in downtown Longview. She and Lou assisted many of the ladies in East Texas with their fine apparel and accessories.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, former Longview Mayor Lou Galosy, and by her only daughter, Amelia Lee Cunningham in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by her stepfather, Joseph Jack Castleberry.
