Jane "Lela" Ellis' Obituary
Funeral services for Lela Ellis, 63, of Longview will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with a time of fellowship from 11:00 – 12:00 pm. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Lela passed away in the afternoon of November 11, 2021 in Longview TX.
Lela was born on March 17, 1958 in Gonzales, TX to parents Jessie and Victoria Garcia. She was a whirlwind of activities and had a passion for getting projects accomplished and traveling to locations unknown. She had a care for plants and animals, a love that she was shared with her husband. Family was everything to Lela, and it would be remiss not share how loving and sympathetic she was as a mother, a wife, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother she was.
Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Victoria; and her grandson Alex T. Milton. Those left to cherish their memories of Lela include her husband of 44 years, Valen D. Ellis; children Tracy Ann Martinez with her husband Julio Martinez, Bobby Joe Roe-Ellis with his husband Jason K. Roe-Ellis, John David Ellis with his wife Dakota J. Gipson, Victoria Virginia Rodriguez with her husband Cavin C. Rodriguez, Mark A. Ellis with his wife Stacia Ellis, Michael L. Ellis with his wife Laura A. Ellis; grandchildren Devin R. Jennings, Serena R. Jennings, Izaee V. Ellis, Sadie J. Ellis, Desiree S. Ellis Daisy J. Hipp, Jaylen D. Ellis, Isaiah M. Rodriguez, Makaylah V. Rodriguez, Shyanne K. Rodriguez, Andrew J. Rodriguez, Maddox A. Ellis, Makena K. Ellis, Matthew A. Ellis, Jonathan M. Ellis, Princess M. Garza, Emily K. Garza, Matthew A. Ellis, Jonathan M. Ellis, Kaden D Ellis; great-grandchildren Greyson A. Jennings, Kayden M.J. Jackson, Kaison D. Jackson, Ariya Jackson; siblings Mando Garcia, Mage Garcia, Patsy Medoza, Nina Garcia. Lela will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
