JANE E. KEY
Services for Jane E. Key , 68, of Hallsville will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 17th , at the First Baptist Church in Hallsville with Dr. David Massey officiating. Burial will follow at the Hallsville Cemetery. Mrs. Key died Thursday at a Longview hospital.
She was born April 2, 1939 at White Oak, Texas to Herbert and Bertha Krause Robertson. She graduated from White Oak High School where she received numerous honors and then attended Kilgore College where she obtained an associate degree. Jane worked various times as a bookkeeper and was a homemaker.
As an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hallsville, she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and served as a leader for the Girls Ambassadors. Jane was also an accomplished artist having produced numerous paintings in oil. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and above all, she loved her church and family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Key of Hallsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lee Rob, Jr. and Lisa Key of Hallsville and James Lance and Rhonda Key of Hallsville; grandchildren, Amber McRae and husband Chase, Brian Key and wife Sabrina, Robyn Key, and Rachel Key; great grandson, Carson Chambers; brother, Herbert Robertson of New Mexico; sisters, Dinah Perkins of Texarkana, Texas and Candace Kimbrough of Dallas and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family extends their appreciation to Drs. James Sawyer, Ronald Scott, Adam Yu, and Perry Lewis for the care and attention given to Jane and the family during her illness.
