Steve, Kathryn, and Kyle,
Words cannot express how much I will miss her. I almost called so many times but thought she wanted to be left alone from any more family pain. How I regret my decision at this time.
I was ten when she was born and remember her as a blonde headed little angel, so full of life. I wanted to name her Muffet, but Mom thought she would like the name "Jane" much better as an adult. We called her Muffet though, and she was a joy to be around.
The little girl with an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile.
I used to dress her up like a doll and she was always the "star" in my plays. One time I put her in a baby swing, bobbi pinned a long yellow towel to her hair, and she was Rapunzel. At the age of two, she was able to throw the towel around her shoulder to the cue, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair". Another time, I bent Iris leaves and placed the top into her shorts and so they hung down like a hula skirt, and placed a flower behind her ear. She did the "hula" dance for the family as I played the ukelele. She was three at the time.
She sang and entertained throughout the years and always maintained that happy, jovial personality. And she was fearless! Would try just about anything and never be embarrased. I remember her singing Barbra Streisand songs for company. A little off key, but so strong and what a performance she put on. She wanted to be a professional singer, at one time, and took singing lessons, and I'm sure she would have been one had she stuck to it. Matter of fact, she would have been able to do anything she wanted to. She was that smart.
I always thought she was the first Dr Doolittle because she seemed to be able to talk to the animals. She loved them and they loved her.
She was beautiful, inside and out, and you are all so lucky to have spent so many years with her.
My heart is empty but my mind consoles me in the fact that she will never hurt again, and has finally found eternal peace.
I know that she will always be looking down from heaven to protect you all from pain and suffering. And Katelyn has a guardian angel to watch over her.
My love to you all, Aunt Sue##imported-begin##Susan Paulsen Newcomer##imported-end##
