Jan Small's Obituary
Jan Elizabeth Small (Moon), age 64, of Longview, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at Good Shephard Hospital after a long illness. She was born February 24, 1960, in Bryan, TX to the late Walter and Judy Moon.
Jan loved farm life, and she loved her animals. She and Jerry spent many years team penning and going on trail rides with friends. Jan spoilt many dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and horses throughout the years.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Judy Moon; sister, Lynnette Bruce; and nephews, Eric Moon and Chad Lancaster.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Jerry Small; brother, Darryl Moon and wife Nadine of Jacksonville, Florida; nephew, Aaron Vanetta of Longview, sister-in-law, Melba McAteer of Longview, and sister-in-law Peggy Lancaster and husband, Tom of Rosharon, TX.
The family visitation will be Sunday, February 9th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, TX. The graveside service will be on Monday, February 10th, at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Park Cemetery’s mausoleum in Longview, TX.
