James ?Jim? Taylor
Funeral services for James ?Jim? Taylor, 56, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Reverend David Massey officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Park. He passed away Tuesday, April 18 in a Shreveport hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor was born May 27, 1949 in Marshall, Texas to James Willard Taylor, Sr. and Eva Dean Jones Taylor. He was the owner/operator of Taylor Consulting in Longview, an Environmental/Safety firm. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hallsville where he was a member of the Lamp Lighters Sunday School Class. Jim loved his Lord and his family. He was an avid golfer and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Kay Taylor of Longview; sons and daughter-in-law, Chad and Amber Taylor of Kilgore and Steven Taylor of Longview; grandson, Jacob Chad Taylor; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Doug Crocker and Bobbie Mings of Grand Saline, and Kay and Chuck Jackson of Hughes Springs, TX; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 N. Central, Hallsville, TX 75650.
