James "Jim" Weiss' Obituary
James (Jim) William Weiss age 73, of Longview, passed away June 24, 2014.
He was born March 31, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to William and Mary Weiss.
Jim retired as a Technical Sergeant from the US Air Force after 20 years of honorable service to our country. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross along with 14 other medals.
After retiring from the Air Force he worked and retired from the US Postal Service.
He was a member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Hatsue Weiss, two sons Jeff Weiss and his wife Lori and Jesse Weiss and his wife Christine, grandchildren Jordan, Jillian, Kaden, Jordan, Abby and Lilly. Jim is also survived by a sister Marlene Ealy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim’s parents William and Mary Weiss, two sisters Carol Sanders and Marion Widman all precede him in passing.
Graveside services for Jim will be 2pm Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Rosewood Park in Longview where military honors will take place. Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home, Longview
