James Gray Uhler, lifelong train enthusiast and master craftsman, father, friend, and Papa, passed away peacefully at home Monday, November 20, 2023. His battle with dementia finally over. James was born on August 24, 1936 to the Read Obituary
It was my distinct pleasure to be Jim's EMT instructor when I was contracted via Kilgore College to instruct the Fire and Safety team at Texas Eastman Company many years ago. Jim was one tremendous fellow who cared about everyone he came in contact with. His love for the Lord was emphatic through his life which shined as a beacon to many.
We met Jim around 1995 through EE. We went on many a visitation with him and Lee, rode in the golf cart with him and greeted him every Sunday he was there. What a faithful servant he was right up to the last as he sat in church by Lee. We are so sorry to hear of his passing but know he is rejoicing in heaven. ❤️
So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. It was always good to see him out at garage sales where we would reminisce about singing barbershop with the Sound Connection chorus.
To the family: We are so sorry to hear about Mr. Uhler’s recent passing. May Jesus comfort each of you in the days to come. He will be greatly missed around the community selling his beautiful wood creations at craft shows, which is where we always enjoying seeing him, his wife, daughter & son-in-law, The Steele’s.

Mary Lee and family, I am so sorry for your loss. We were neighbors for years and so enjoyed your friendship. Jim was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Prayers of comfort for all of you.
