When you play football from pop warner to varsity as a player you get to experience many coaches personalities. I must say that Coach Miller stands above all coaches that I have come in contact with. He was the same with starter as he was with the bench warmer; always smiling and giving a word of confidence. Coach will be missed.

I was thinking about Tommy a few weeks ago, and I just learned today he had passed away. I knew him as "Tommy" when he supervised the Longview Parks & Recreation summer programs in the 70's puttering around on a little moped going from park to park, then all of a sudden he was "Coach Miller" to me at LHS in the early 80's. He had a great sense of humor, was an excellent motivator come on, Gallagher, you can run two more miles before the bell rings, and was a good friend to me as a young man growing up and he led by example. I am so sorry, just found out today about Tommy. My heart and prayers are with you. We had wonderful times together as we started our families and coaching careers.
