James Taylor Terry's Obituary
Graveside services for James J.T. Terry, 78, of Tatum are set for 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Tatum Cemetery with Jonathan Sorenson officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Terry died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at his residence.
He was born August 19, 1929 in Keltys, Texas. to Walter and Mable Terry. He was a tv technician and a salesman for a welding supply company. Mr. Terry married Helen Green on May 24, 1951. He was a protestant.
Mr. Terry served as a sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He received a Purple Heart , Bronze Star, and was a disabled veteran.
Surviving is his wife, Helen Terry; children, Doug Terry and wife Wendy, Bobby Terry and wife Tori, Patty Beall and husband Lynn, and Pam Bunting and husband Robert; sister, Bertha Lee Kelley; grandchildren, Jennifer Beall, Dustin Terry and wife Sondra, Phillip Terry, Kelly Sorenson and husband Jonathan, Billy Beall and wife Amy, and Bryan Terry; great grandchildren, Abby Sorenson, Macy Brown, and Ryan Beall; several nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be Friday, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
