James Taylor Crump's Obituary
Funeral services for James Taylor "J.T." Crump, 86, of Longview , will be held Wednesday May 2, 2012 at 2:30pm at Wares Chapel Cemetery in Arkansas . Mr. Crump passed from this world to enter Heaven's gates on Sunday, April 29, 2012. J.T. was born in Haynesville , Louisiana on August 26, 1925 to the late Ollie Olen Crump and the late Hazel Crump. After high school, he proudly served in WWII as a field lineman with the 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Division with the U.S. Army in France and Germany , where he received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained from a German mortar round in January 1945. He and his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty Carolyn, moved to Longview in 1960. After 26 years of dedicated service, he retired from Eastman Kodak in 1986. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Crump, Billy Crump, and Thomas Crump. J.T. is survived by his wife and children, Richard Crump, Robin Williams, Cary Crump and wife, Stephanie Crump, all from Longview; and one brother, Denzil Crump and wife, Jean Crump, of Magnolia, Arkansas. He was a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Tiffany Goss and husband, Josh Goss, Cade Crump and Grace Crump, as well as two great-grandchildren, Avery Goss and Ryker Goss and numerous nephews and a niece. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2012 from 6-8pm at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
