I'm so sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Sutton. My condolences to the family.
Mrs. Roberta, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had known Jim for many years since he had been on Departmental Staff (Radiology) at Good Shepherd Medical Center when I was a Paramedic Supervisor and Instructor for LeTourneau University and the City of Longview. I always knew him to be a very approachable gentleman who cared deeply about his relationship with the Lord, his family, his friends, and his community. He proudly served for a period of time as volunteer Chairman of the EMS Advisory Committee for the City of Longview through the Longview Fire Department.
Then, later on as life progressed, I knew Jim through the American Legion. He served as Vice-Commander, later Commander of Post 232, and still later as Commander of the 3rd District of the American Legion, Department of Texas, where it was a pleasure to serve under him as District Vice-Commander up until the time of his passing.
I was so deeply moved at how "Commander Jim" shared with me and so many about having an "enriching walk" with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, especially in the last years of his earthly life.
We will miss him greatly, but I know that The Lord Jesus (The Ultimate Commander-in-Chief) has him doing a very important task in "Post Everlasting" in His magnificent kingdom.
Thanks for the fellowship and for the great memories here on this earth, "Commander Jim." We will take it from here until we meet again in "Post Everlasting" and will serve the Lord for all of eternity with you.
"For God and Country, and for the Good of the American Legion, We're Still in the Fight",
Jack H. Lanier, Jr.
Commander, 3rd District
American Legion, Department of Texas
I knew Jim when he lived here in Fairmont MN. He and his wife were such great neighbors to have . My heart goes out to Roberta. All my love.

I’m so sorry to hear about Mr. Sutton! He was an awesome mentor and coach! He helped me build self-confidence when playing soccer that carried over into other aspects of my life. I enjoyed seeing his Facebook posts and passion for supporting the American Legion. Rest In Peace!
I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Sutton family. May God be with you and bless you during this time of loss.
I worked with Jim when he was the Director of Radiology in Fairmont, MN. He mentored me with tons of his knowledge and was a great friend. I recently connected with Jim when he opened a Facebook account. RIP in Jim you were a great person.

To the family and friends of James may the blessings of heaven shine upon you.
Sincerely,
Don Toohey
