James Gorman Stevens Jr's Obituary
Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family our precious husband, Daddy, and G-Daddy, James Gorman Stevens Jr went home to be with the Lord on November 7, 2022 at the age of 75 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Barbie Stevens, four children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Daughter, Shannon Skelton and husband Ricki of San Angelo, TX , and grandchildren Hunter Skelton and wife Taylor and great grandson Quinn Skelton of Austin TX, Haylee Swift and husband Brent and great granddaughter and grandson Olivia and Drake of Abilene TX,
Daughter, Jamie Clark and partner Greg Strickler of Houston TX, grandchildren Logan Clark, Brooke Clark and Paige Clark of Houston TX.
Son, James "Bubba" Stevens III of Lake Cherokee TX and Daughter, Heather McCoslin and husband Jeremy of Longview TX and grandchildren Emmalee McCoslin and Finlee McCoslin of Longview TX.
We will all miss our larger than life G-Daddy that loved us with all his heart. He was our hero, protector and teacher. This brave man thought of others to the end. Always placing his needs and wants behind the needs and wants of those he held close to his heart.
James is now reunited with his loving mother and daddy. Gorman and Lurline Stevens.
A celebration of James Gorman Stevens Jr life will be held on December 3, 2022 at 10:00am at Centre Presbyterian Church in Lakeport, TX.
A small reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
