James Paul Sheridan “Bubba” of De Kalb, Texas
August 31, 1964 – January 21, 2024
James Sheridan “Bubba” was born August 31, 1964 in De Kalb, Texas to the late Douglas and Martha Sheridan.
Bubba was a devoted Army veteran whose unwavering dedication to service extended beyond the military to a remarkable 35-year career in the oilfield. An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, Bubba found joy and freedom on the open road. His passion for golf was evident in the countless rounds played with friends and family, creating cherished memories on the greens. Bubba also loved his country music and old western shows. He was the founding member of the Pipe Hitters Union Motorcycle Club Centurions Chapter in Longview, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Sheridan; his children Jill (Jesse) Hobson, Scotty Sheridan, Cody Sampson, Dustin (Natalie) Sheridan, Ashley (Tyler) Taylor, Bryan (Breanna) Tucker, Amy (Josh) Howe; his sister Cyndy Beckwith of Newcastle, OK; grandchildren Christopher Baxter, Javin Baxter, Korbin Sheridan, Aubrie Sheridan, Safire Sampson, Onyx Sampson, Willow Sheridan, EllieMae Taylor; special cousins Junior Sheridan (his partner in crime) and Rusty Goodman (his roustabout); and a niece and nephew.
In honor of Bubba’s life, a celebration will be held in the near future. Family and friends are invited to join together for a gathering of love, laughter, and shared memories. Details for this celebration of life event will be announced at a later date.
