James E. Sanders' Obituary
James Edward Sanders was born on June 10, 1940 to Claudis and Lora Hammett Sanders in Oak Grove, LA. He passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 in Longview, TX.
James was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shirley Sanders, Claudine Sharp, and Carolyn Turnbow, daughter Penny Sanders, and grandson Jordan Sanders.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Inez Hardy Sanders, Sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Lisa Sanders, Billy and Lisa Sanders, and Aaron and Victoria Sanders, Grandchildren Erika Fletcher and husband Matt, Ashley Walker and husband Gary, Collin Sanders and wife Lacy, Brandon Sanders and wife Casey, Katelin McIntyre and husband Colton, Mason Sanders, Corbin Sanders, Payton Sanders, and Haidyn Sanders, Great-grandchildren Torie McBride, Macy Stocks, Weston Sanders, Carter McIntyre, Jackson Fletcher, Kasen McIntyre, Grayson Fletcher, and Brinkley Sanders along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
James was retired after working 25+ years as an electrician for Fluor Daniel Services. He also proudly served in the U.S. Navy in his early years.
Funeral Services honoring James will be held at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Thursday, October 5, 2017 with Pastor Mark Hendrick and Minister Lance Sims officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with the service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Memory Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons Collin Sanders, Brandon Sanders, Mason Sanders, Gary Walker, Matt Fletcher, and Colton McIntyre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons Corbin Sanders and Payton Sanders.
