James Roy Wallace's Obituary
Funeral services for James Roy Wallace, 83, of Henderson, are set for 10:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Strong Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mr. Wallace died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in Tyler.
He was born July 10, 1923 in the Liberty Community and was a lifelong resident of Rusk County. He was a retired mechanic, a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Longview Drive Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Pearl Wallace and his wife, Mary Artis Wallace.
Surviving is a daughter, Tina Costlow and husband David of Henderson; sons, Lynn Wallace and wife Sharlotte of Henderson, and Donnie Wallace and wife Delilah of Henderson; brother Jim Wallace of Dallas; sister-in-law, Abileen Tillison and husband Ben of Henderson; six grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rodney McCoy, Walt Taylor, Carlton Howeth, Donnie Howeth, Steve Morris, Cody Wallace, Doug Patterson, and James Norris.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Copeland, Taylor Wylie, and Reuben Pool.
Visitation will be Friday, June 1, from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
