James Roy McCracken
Mass of Christian Burial for James Roy McCracken, 63, of Gilmer will be held at Ten O?clock AM Saturday May 28, 2005 at St. Matthews Catholic Church 2800 Pine Tree Road with Monsignor Xavier Pappu officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. McCracken passed away Thursday May 25, 2005 in Longview.
Mr. McCracken was born January 27, 1942 in Carthage, Texas to Roy and Ollie Hodges McCracken. He had lived in Gilmer for the past twenty two years moving there from Wichita Falls after retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant with twenty two years of service.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann McCracken of Gilmer, Texas; two sons, Stephen Edward McCracken and wife Marquesa of Gilmer, Texas; Robert Wayne McCracken and wife Aimee Jo of Bedford, Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas McCracken, Madison McCracken, and Trinity McCracken, adopted granddaughter, Tamara Thorsgard, brother, Travis McCracken and wife Tripp of Greenwood, Louisiana; sister, Mona Meyer and husband Bill of Greenwood, Louisiana; two nieces and two nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.
A Rosary service will be recited at 7 pm Friday May 27, 2005 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road. The family will receive friends immediately following the Rosary.
