James Camden Reynolds' Obituary
James C. “Jim” Reynolds passed away peacefully on March 10, 2018 with his wife of 58 years by his side. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Saturday, March 17. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial service that will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Schulik officiating.
He was born in Overton, Texas to Carl J. and Maxine Taylor Reynolds on April 9, 1937. He was raised in Pittsburg, Texas. He graduated from Pittsburg High School and East Texas State University. Jim owned Reynolds Bookkeeping & Tax Services in Longview, Texas for many years. He was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church and enjoyed the Prime Time Bunch Sunday School Class. After retirement he volunteered for Good Shepherd Ambulatory Center and for several non-profit agencies in Longview. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and camping with friends and family. Jim especially loved times spent with his family. He also had a very special pet dog, Lady, at his side for very many years.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife Helen Bennett Reynolds of Longview: daughter Janice Baker and husband Dennis of Longview: granddaughters Alicia Kerr and husband,J.D. Kerr, of The Colony, TX., Whitney Donohue and husband Matt Donohue of Denton, TX. and grandson Clay Baker of Lubbock, TX: four Great grandchildren Carter and Charlotte Kerr and Jacob and Adam Donohue: And many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl J. and Maxine Reynolds, his sister Patricia R. Disman "Shan" and her husband James Disman, and his sister Shirlei Oppermann.
