James Timothy "Tim" O'Bryant's Obituary
James Timothy “Tim” O’Bryant
James Timothy “Tim” O’Bryant celebrated his homecoming August 4, 2016 at the age of 56. He was taken unexpectedly and all too soon. We rejoice in knowing he is in the arms of Jesus watching over us.
Tim was born to Jim and Freddie O’Bryant October 11, 1959 in Houston, TX. Tim moved to East Texas with him family in 1974 and graduated from Hallsville High School in 1978. Tim was a member of the Hallsville Volunteer Fire Department for three years. He was a hard worker from the time he was in 7th grade helping with the family business, Century Corrugated Container, to where he later became President and part owner. Tim was an amazing man and was always willing to help someone in need. For those that knew him personally, you know “no” was not a word he used often. Tim was a family man. He loved his family more than anything. His daughter, Jenna Harms, and granddaughter, Kinsley Harms, were his entire world. He spent most of his free time with his granddaughter taking her to McKay’s, Dairy Queen, or Chick-fil-a, where ice cream was always a given. He enjoyed riding his razor, camping, playing cowboys with the Outlaws, spending time with his family, and riding his motorcycle. Tim loved the Lord and there was proof of the intimate relationship he had with the Lord in the way he lived and loved. He was generous, selfless, kind, loving, and always willing to go that extra mile. Tim always had a smile on his face; he brought joy to everyone that he met and he never met a stranger.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Jim O’Bryant and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Freddie O’Bryant of Hallsville, TX; daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter Jenna, Stephen, and Kinsley Harms of Liberty City, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Chris Brogan of Hallsville, TX; Brothers and sister-in-laws, Shannon and Julie O’Bryant of Hallsville, TX and Billy and Vickie O’Bryant of Hallsville, TX, along with many nephews, nieces, and close friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
