James Newell Fenton, Sr.
Services for James Newell Fenton, Sr. 86, of Longview will be held at 10 Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Summerfield Untied Methodist Church with the Reverend Bud Miller officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday, September 9, 2005 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road.
Mr. Fenton was born on December 18, 1918 in Longview to Buford & Myra Fenton. He retired from Texas Eastman as a welder, and was a member of Summerfield United Methodist Church.
A loving, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Mr. Fenton was preceded in death by his parents; step son, Timothy McDermott; and brother, Royce Melton Fenton. He is survived by his loving wife, Nettie Jean Fenton of Longview; son, James Fenton, Jr., of Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn & Robert Foss of Spokane, WA.; step daughter-in-law, Theresa McDermott Hays of Marshall; step son, Gary Don & Winnie McDermott of Oakton, VA; eight grandchildren, Judy Ann Foss, Angela Foster, George Marshall McDermott, Leticia McDermott, Corlyn McDermott, Mitchell McDermott, Amanda McDermott, Adam McDermott; one great grandchild, George Foster; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
