James Oneal Nash's Obituary
Graveside services for James Nash, 85, of Longview will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 at Rosewood Park Mausoleum in Longview with Rev. William Rustenhaven officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Nash passed away Tuesday afternoon in a local nursing home. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
James was born on February 7, 1930 in Lawson, Arkansas to Milam and Avis Nash. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was retired from Bechtel Power as a Mechanical Superintendent where he worked all over the world building nuclear power plants. Mr. Nash loved golf, reading, bowling, fishing and spending time in the outdoors, but loved his family most of all. He loved traveling all over the world, and made it to 49 of the 50 states. Before moving to Longview, he was very active in Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marshall. He loved his church and his church family.
Mr. Nash was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister-in-law, Kay Helen Hampton.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Guinlyn Nash; his sister, Vergie Williams; his nephews, Jeff Hampton, Jason Hampton, Matthew Williams and Steve Williams; his brother-in-law James Lee Hampton; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
