James Rickey Moss' Obituary
Services for Sgt. James Rickey Moss, 37, of Henderson will be 3:00pm Saturday December 23, 2017 with Jeff Holland officiating. Sgt. Moss was born April 14, 1980 in Henderson. He passed away December 19, 2017 in Tyler.
Rickey was a loving father and husband who loved the Lord and his family. He loved hunting, fishing, knife making and his right to bear arms. He had a very tender heart.
Sgt. Moss served in the Army and served 2 tours in Iraq. Sgt. Moss was awarded an Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Iraq Campaign Medal.
Sgt. Moss was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James Henry Moss and Gladys Lavelle Moss along with maternal grandparents Arlen Leroy Smith and Lois Waggoner Smith.
He is survived by his spouse Domy Cossio and son Tyler Moss, parents Archie Moss of Henderson Tx, Richard and Deborah Smith of Breaux Bridge LA,mother and father-in-law Dina and Marco Cossio of CA, the Cossio family and the Balbaneda family, brother Stan Moss of Panama City Beach, Fl, sister Kasey Moss of Tatum Tx, sister Kara Smith of Nashville TN and niece Kali Colbert of Tatum, TX..
Pallbearers will be nephews Lane Talbert, Preston Talbert, Kyle Colbert, brother Stan Moss, cousin Neil Pierce, and his friend Anu Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
