James Morgan League
Funeral services for James Morgan League, 79, of Vilonia, AR., formerly of the Longview area, will be held at 10 AM Monday, January 1, 2006 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Kenneth Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Judson Cemetery. Mr. League served his country with the US Navy during World War II. For his dedicated service, the Longview VFW post 4002 Honor Guard will present full military honors at his graveside service.
He was born on March 19, 1926 at home in Gregg County to Luther Perry and Teresa Stephens League. He passed away on December 29, 2005 in an Arkansas nursing facility.
Mr. League was a retired truck driver and a Baptist.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. League was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lanora League of Volinia, AR.; son and daughter-in-law, James and Marilyn League of Frisco; daughters and son-in-law, Rita and Roy Haughton of Euless, Jeannie White of Gilmer; step children and their spouses, Vanessa Barber and Steve of Vilonia, AR., Johnnie Porter and JoAnn; 6 grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Roy Cain of Jacksboro.
