James “Jim” Montgomery Miller, 71, went to be with his Lord, on Monday, December 21,2020 in Longview, Texas. James Montgomery Miller was born on November 23, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to Dorothy (McElroy) and Richard Miller.
Jim loved life, spending time with family and friends. He loved the outdoors and sought adventure in every aspect of his life. He traveled the world and chose Longview Texas to make his home. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. Jim created several successful businesses, Glamour Pools (1969-1989) and Pacific Pools and Spas (1990-2018), building backyard swimming pools for East Texas families to enjoy. He had an incredible heart for helping others. He had a big personality and loved to make people laugh. Jim greatest accomplishment was his family. He would tell anyone who would listen how lucky he was to have such caring family and how proud he was of all his children and their accomplishments.
Jim is proceeded in death by his Mother Dorothy Louise (McElroy) Miller and Father Richard Montgomery Miller.
Jim is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Richardson) Miller of the home,his children; Tracy Works, Mark Miller and Hailey Miller Davis and her husband Jason Davis of Longview, TX; his brother Richard Miller of Ft. Worth, TX and his sisters: Janet Burkhalter of Sycamore, Illinois and Joyce Akerlund of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; several grandchildren: Brooke Portera , Jaymz-Austin Miller Kerr, Riley Kerr, Matthew Works, Taylor Davis and Cason Davis as well as one great grandchild-Skylar Portera and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
