Mr. James Hunter's Obituary
Services for James Hunter, 82, of Tatum will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the Tatum City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Hunter passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Longview.
Mr. Hunter was born in Shreveport, LA to Robert and Kathleen Hunter on September 6, 1931. He loved to be with his family and just celebrated his 56th wedding anniversary. He had a great sense of humor and was loved dearly by his family. He was a lifelong fisherman and enjoyed gardening. Mr. Hunter is preceded in death by his parents and his son John M. Hunter.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Hunter of Tatum; children Joann Tevebaugh of Longview, James and his wife Robin Hunter of Seattle WA; sister Kathleen Gehlen Hunter of Bossier City, LA; brother Robert P. and his wife Della Hunter of Alexandra, LA; grandchildren Ronnie and wife Tony Green of Longview, Kelley and husband Patrick Bryan of Gilmer, Michelle and husband Steven Brisby of White Oak, Rebecca Hunter of Seattle, WA, Kathy Hunter, Caren Hunter, Jessica Hunter, and John Hunter of California; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
