When Jim and I were still working as
10AM neared I knew for certain that if Jim was in the building he would be at my little desk in the corner of my lab with his coffee...and others would be there also because they knew Jim would be there....he would regale us with the most interesting stories and exploits from his early life....his Air Force days and recons flights over the South China Sea in a B-26....and his days as a navigator on a B-29....he and I traveled many miles together....on both coasts and many of the states in between....lots of museums trips....hunting pheasant in Kansas for several years....and when the days events were over and dinner approached that was a special time...a couple of drinks with him was something that I always cherished....he was one of the most interesting men I have been blessed to know....I know I will miss having him in my life....I already miss having him...J.E.Salter

So sorry to read of your loss. During the many years I worked for Carol Coolidge, I remember a big bowl of Jim's wonderful tomatoes sitting on her bar -- and often she shared that treat with us. Sending prayers for comfort and peace.
