James H. Clark's Obituary
Graveside services for James H. Clark, 91, of Longview will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 9, 2013 at LaGrones Chapel Cemetery in Hallsville with Todd Clifton officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Clark passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Clark was born on February 27, 1922 in Karnack, Texas to George and Teresa Clark. He was married to Mavis Raymer on August 16, 1943. He was a graduate of Gladewater High School and was active in the Former Students Association for many years. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force in WWII and Korea. His post-war service included Edwards AFB, North Africa, and France. He served for 22 years before retiring on May 31, 1964 . Mr. Clark was a member of North Loop Church of Christ in Gladewater, and worked as an Electronics Technician at LTV and Lone Star Steel.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Clark; his parents; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, James Clark, JR, George Dick Clark and his wife Janet, Michael Clark and his wife Sally, Charles Clark, Patrick Clark and his wife Judy; his daughters Barbara Mye, and Anita Griffin and her husband Joe; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one sister Adah Shannon and her husband Gene; and many nieces and nephews.
