James E. "Woody" Woodul's Obituary
Funeral services for James E. ?Woody? Woodul, 68, of Longview, will be 10 AM Saturday, September 29, 2007 in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd., with Reverend Emmitt Barrow officiating. Interment will follow at 3 PM in Oak Grove Cemetery near Hope, Arkansas.
Woody was born February 27, 1939 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to Cecil and Edna Woodul. He was a lawn and garden technician at Sears, a member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church, and served his country in the U. S. Air Force for 20 years, and on the CB, went by the handle, ?Hillbilly?.
He was a member and Past Master of Pine Tree Masonic Lodge # 1396, Tatum Masonic Lodge # 1386, and District Deputy of the Grand Lodge of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carolyn.
He is survived by his sons James E. Woodul, Jr. and wife Alvalin of Killeen, TX, David A. Woodul and wife, Julia, of San Antonio, and Charles M. Woodul and wife, Shonna, of Georgia.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great
grandchildren and sister, Mary Ann Spier of Longview,
Mother-in-law, Mary Alice Weaver; sister-in-law,
Diane Stewart, and brothers-in-law, David and
Daniel Weaver.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home
Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to
Winterfield United Methodist Church.
