James Edwin Joplin's Obituary
Jim Joplin age 83 passed away peacefully at Hospice of East
Texas in Tyler, Texas Thursday March 20 2008. He Was born
On May 23 1924 in Henderson Texas to Jewel and George P.
Joplin. He served our country in the United States Air force
During World War II , and married Frances Ross on December 29
1951. The couple moved to Dallas, and later Irving Texas where they raised their children an were active in church and civic
Activities. After Jims retirement from Hussmann Refrigeration
The couple moved back to their home town of Henderson.
Jim was the loving caring patriarch of his adoring family, and his wit and humor were appreciated by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister, and step siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Frances Ross Joplin, a son James Alan Joplin, a daughter Ella Joplin Hood of Fort Worth and grandsons Ben, Taylor and Harrison Hood.
Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday March 24 2008 at Laneville Cemetery with Revs. Richard Stillwell and Jim Ross officiating
Visitation will be Monday following the service at Trinity Baptist Church in Henderson.
Pallbearers will be Ben Hood, Taylor Hood, Harrison Hood
Willie Reedy, Stacy Ross and Adrian Dunklin
Memorials can be made to Hospice of East Texas and the Trinity
Baptist Church of Henderson
